Explain the working principle of ice machine

1. The ice making principle of the   ice machine

1. The chilled water pump of the storage tank continuously circulates through the plate or grid evaporator;  

2. After the compressor is in operation, it is suctioned-compressed-exhausted-condensed (liquefied)-throttled-and then evaporated in the evaporator at a low temperature of -10 ℃ to -18 ℃. The chilled water condenses into ice on the surface of the lower temperature evaporator at a water temperature of 0°C. When the ice layer condenses to a certain thickness, the refrigerant evaporation temperature reaches the temperature-controlled set temperature, that is, the defrost solenoid valve is turned on and the heat pump is often used to de-ice, and then the next cycle is realized.  

Second, the use of ice machine skills  

1. The ice machine should be installed away from heat sources, without direct sunlight, in a well-ventilated place, and the ambient temperature should not exceed 35 degrees Celsius to prevent the ambient temperature from being too high to cause poor heat dissipation from the condenser and affect the ice making effect. The ground on which the ice machine is installed should be solid and level, and the ice machine must be kept level, otherwise it will cause no ice removal and noise during operation.

2. The gap between the back and the left and right sides of the ice making machine should be no less than 30cm, and the gap between the top should be no less than 60cm.  

3. The ice machine should use an independent power supply, a dedicated line power supply and be equipped with a fuse and leakage protection switch, and must be reliably grounded.  

4. The water used by the ice machine must meet the national drinking water standard, and a water filtering device should be installed to filter impurities in the water so as not to block the water pipe, pollute the water tank and the ice mold. And affect the performance of ice making.

5. The power should be turned off when cleaning the ice machine. It is strictly forbidden to directly flush the body with a water pipe. It should be scrubbed with a neutral detergent. It is strictly forbidden to use acidic, alkaline and other corrosive solvents.

6. The ice machine must unscrew the inlet hose head for two months, and clean the inlet valve screen to avoid the sand and mud impurities in the water from clogging the inlet and causing the inlet water volume to decrease, resulting in no ice making.

7. The ice machine must clean the surface of the condenser every two months. Poor condensation and heat dissipation will cause damage to the compressor components. When cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner, a small brush, etc. to clean the oil and dust on the surface of the condensate. Do not use sharp metal tools to clean it, so as not to damage the condenser.

8. The water pipe, sink, refrigerator and protective film of the ice machine should be cleaned every two months.  

9. When the ice machine is not in use, it should be cleaned, and the water in the ice mold and the box should be dried with an electric hair dryer, placed in a place free of corrosive gases and ventilated and dry, to avoid open storage.

 3. Notes on the use of ice machine  

1. The amount of water used for ice making needs to be added with salt (medicine). The modulation pump (plunger pump) is automatically adjusted according to the amount of ice made.  

2. The main body of the ice machine is divided into two chambers. The copper tube (evaporation chamber) of a certain density in the inner cavity of the outer cavity is the thing of refrigeration.

3. Inside the outer cavity is a very regular round stainless steel cavity. The distance between the three-blade scraper and the inner wall can be adjusted to 3 mm. There are several sets of evenly distributed copper nozzles above the ice skates!  

4. The working principle is that when the pump is turned on, the plunger pump will spray 0.2 kg of water evenly on the surface of the inner cavity through several filters, and then the cooling surface of the outer cavity will instantly form a 3 mm thick ice surface. Under the action of the rotating ice knife, the freshly made ice is broken into small pieces and dropped into the storage bin! During the ice making cycle, the water is automatically fed into a water storage tank through the supplementary water valve, and then the water is pumped through the flow control valve to the diverter head, where the water is evenly sprayed onto the surface of the ice maker and flows like a water curtain On the wall of the ice maker, the water is cooled to the freezing point, and the water that has not been frozen by evaporation will flow into the water storage tank through the porous tank and restart the circulation work.  

Ice mining cycle: When the ice reaches the required thickness (the thickness can be arbitrarily selected by the operator/user), the hot gas discharged from the compressor is reintroduced back into the wall of the ice maker to replace the low-temperature liquid refrigerant. In this way, a film of water is formed between the ice and the wall of the evaporation tube. This film of water will play a role of lubrication when the ice falls freely into the groove below by gravity. The water produced during the ice mining cycle will return to the water storage tank through the porous tank, which also prevents wet ice from being discharged by the machine. Refrigerators are condensed by air-cooled, water-cooled or evaporative condensers. The evaporative type is installed above the ice machine, the water-cooled condenser is installed under the ice machine or the refrigeration system, and the air-cooled condenser is installed according to the actual situation and can be installed together with the ice machine Can also be installed outdoors. If necessary, the water-cooled condenser can be used on the ship or on the coast, using sea water for cooling. Evaporative cooling can be used in high ambient air temperature, but from the perspective of efficiency and economy, it is not suitable for use in water-cooled or air-cooled refrigeration.
